Welcome to Monday morning, November 19. We are back from musical shenanigans in Saskatoon which was very good fun. Some old friends turned up and we made some lovely new ones playing at Prairie Ink in McNally's bookstore. It was a fun night. Topped with Black Cat beer (not made from real cats....relax...) and samosas for a little treat too, yum!
We also stopped into this plant-based cafe and grocery called 'Frisk' and got some really cool things to try. When we got home yesterday we fried up some of the plant based sausages from 'Beyond Meat' and were quietly blown away. WOW. What a product. Could take the world by storm if people try it, it is kind of amazing.
And so today we continue our minimizing efforts (day 19) in cutting back possessions in order to move into our new apartment. I am really thrilled that we have kept up so far, but now is the time it starts getting hairy. Finding 19 items gets more challenging when you've just sorted out 18 items the day before... and then 17 before that...etc...it's kind of yikes. It's kind of weirdly exhilarating to see just how crazy it gets. It's like seeing how far your car can go on an empty tank. Ahhhh....
Today we will be making a trip to Value Village with a load of goodies for them. And then there is also a load going to a friend that wanted a couple of things (a giant mat and a barbq). It's getting down baby!
Monday always seems to start slow and I have a nice little headache brewing to remind me of real life I guess...dear little thing. I wish you a great start to your week. We got this right?
