Yesterday we spent pretty much the whole day just relaxing with cool ocean breezes wafting through the windows. It wasn't one of the exciting, crazy days that we have had in the past, but it was a lovely and somewhat needed quiet day. It was also a day of practice.
It's quite a way to practice actually. We made up set lists and started getting organized for our gig on Feb 2nd. Went through the songs we chose for the Australian crowd. All while overlooking this incredible view and feeling that beautiful soft wind. Oh and the odd kookaburra or butcher bird also chimed in from time to time. That was quite hilarious and unexpected.
Turns out many Australian birds are carnivorous meat eaters. If you want to feed these cuties, they aren't too interested in seeds or veggies. No no no no no.... no vegan birds here it would seem. They are very cute. And melodious. Although the kookaburra laugh does sound a bit evil villain. I LOVE the sound.
The evening found us with kind folks again enjoying food and drink and sharing stories. The quiet day made the evening social time even more special. And on it goes, this time spent on our beloved giant orb.
