Yessiree Bob, this is where we are. Lawn chairs, a piano stool, and guitars. Will we fit into the 4' by 8' trailer we rented..? We will see. It feels like we are camping in our own house right now as we are nearly ready to make the move. Can't make toast, drinking instant coffee, and no TV or couch to curl up with. It feels a little crazy but not altogether unpleasant.
I'm now trying to clean the things that need that extra clean touch, like the dreaded oven. Boo. I have the entire oven coated in a baking soda paste right now. I'm just waiting for it do to it's magic and then I'll have to wipe it all down and possibly scrub. I was tempted to use the baking powder instead of the baking soda because it says right on the container "magic baking powder". I think that is what is needed actually. But the internet sites I looked at all suggested baking soda was the way to go. We'll see what she looks like in 12 hours.
Today should be a fun day catching up with people which is an activity I love, but it does get my emotions going again. Silly emotions, I wish they would just stay in control a bit better sometimes. However, it also means no cooking so that's probably good anyway since the oven is coated in baking soda paste.
Oh, I just got a memory with baking soda paste! I remember my poor brother digging into a hornets nest outside and angering an army of hornets (or wasps, I have no idea). He ran like mad around the house with an actual cloud of bees following him just like in the cartoons. The poor kid came in the house crying and bitten by a million of them (give or take). Once we got rid of the residual hornets, my mother and I covered him in baking soda paste. It seemed like the thing to do.
Well, it's Canada Day weekend. I hope you are having fun and not into the baking soda paste activities because so far none of them sound all that fun.
