I am in a much better mood today with downsizing and culling the herd of hoard. It's quite a process, but today is a happier note. Today I have seen a number of musical items leave to nice homes where they will be loved and played. They will get to have new fingers play them, hear new songs imagined through them, and touch other folks with their beautiful notes.
We sold a piano, a case, and some speakers to 3 different people. Then donated some drums and a variety of accessories to a dear friend. These are things that are happy. I have loved these things, but we really aren't using them to potential and will have no space for them as we move to apartment living. It is far better they get loved by someone else.
Sadly, I see a lot more to do, but that's ok. There is time to figure much of this stuff out. It's nice to think of musical things being used and loved.
It's funny the things you collect. When you have lots of space, it doesn't really occur to you that you shouldn't bring another whatever into the home. I thought I was pretty good with this concept, but clearly I was not as good as I imagined. Clearly not. Oh well, carry on...
Recording is slowly coming along. We have 4 songs that are at a somewhat done stage for final mixing. We haven't recorded a song that I play bouzouki in yet. I'm really looking forward to what that is going to sound like. There are about 5 I think that have bouzouki in them. Wow, right?
Anyway, I wish you a happy Monday, if it is a holiday Monday for you, all the better! If not, I wish you a smooth easy day.
