It was a dirty Spring day yesterday. Warm enough, actually kind of beautiful, but grey skies and devoid of life looking. With temperatures warm enough to wander we did just that. Here is David near the end of our journey with a wine purchase. Before this we were at Leo's enjoying their atmosphere....complaining about the songs someone chose on the jukebox....then we walked around the lake....then took in the Ed Art show at The Junction which was very nice....then wine....then toilet paper...then home.
Spring always seems to come with more dirt than we left behind in fall. And it's often this wet squelchy sort of landscape everywhere I find. Then there are the dead fish everywhere. Ugh. I'm so sorry that winter was too cold for you guys. I'm so saddened by fish corpses that seem to be way too many.
It's bittersweet when the warmth comes back I guess. The birds have the right idea. Go to a southern place for this godforsaken winter and then come back when it's habitable. The poor fish in Regina can't really do that. I'm not sure there is a waterway they can take for Arizona. I'm sure if there was, they'd do it already. Poor fish.
Happy Spring. Happy Monday if you are starting your week.
