We've been trying to film a live video of one of our new songs for about a week now I'd say. Our first attempt was foiled by some new people moving in next door making noise that would have been part of the audio. I get they need to move and that just makes noise when you move, it just meant it was a bad time for a live video shoot. Ok fine.
We then tried again 2 nights ago. This time it was a computer glitch. We'd record the video, were happy with it, and just as David would go to save the file, poof, an error message would fill the screen and logic pro (the recording software) would crash. We tried this same exercise about 9 times that night for the exact same effect before we decided that was just enough.
To solve, David updated the computer, updated the software, and hoped for the best to try again last night. You probably can guess that the exact same thing happened. The good news is that we didn't keep trying 9 more times. We decided to take a break and try and solve it later.
Then a weird thing happened. We had this dedicated time to do a video that we weren't doing a live video....what to do....oh I know...a weird Strange Valentines song. And so that is how the song, 'Go Far Ken' emerged. From repeated failure and frustration, we wrote a bizarre song about this poor ne'er do well fellow that tries to sell everybody stuff they don't need. I apologize in advance for everyone named Ken, I promise it isn't about you.
It's a weird life sometimes.
Happy hump day
