Well it's a first for me. Much of Saskatchewan lost power yesterday because of frost on the power lines. We were out from 9 am till 3 pm as was much of Regina. I could hardly believe it.
All my big plans to accomplish things kind of went by the wayside when there was no power. Couldn't cook, couldn't get warm. It was all we could think about. It's funny how an inconvenience then turns to a real worry when it goes on longer than you think it should. I'm not sure everyone would be safe it stayed out too much longer. Most people don't have back up plans for heat and things.
We ended up writing two silly kind of songs for events coming up using the ukulele. One is a waltz in honour of the lady that owned this really old ukulele that we won on a silent auction. It's kind of an old timey sort of thing but kind of fun.
When the power finally came back, all I could think was to fill up the bathtub and crawl inside. I have never appreciated heat so much today! Something I take for granted, but it sure is nice to be warm.
Have a great day with whatever you get up to today, and enjoy being warm if you have that luxury :)
