Our first gig back in Nova Scotia found us at the Trellis Cafe in Hubbards and what a great night. The place was full of people, the sound was good, and the energy was just the right mix of lively and snuggled in. I really enjoyed connecting again to so many folks that I haven't seen in ages and I really enjoyed The Trellis. We should do that again.
The day of the gig was a typical rainy old drizzle coming down for most of the afternoon. We hung out in Hubbards and Chester for most of the afternoon just walking around, watching ocean waves near the water, popping into a cafe or two for some dryness and hot beverages. A lovely day really.
And then that perfect evening at the Trellis sharing our stories and songs with people that cared. It was pretty special actually. It was a really nice welcome back to the area.
Today we head back to River John to see what we've missed and sort our place out a little more. We'll spend a couple of days relaxing and settling in before we head back to Halifax for the Old Triangle shows next weekend. Summer is feeling great this year. I can hardly wait to see what adventures are coming up. Oh and I might get a mop.
See you out there maybe!
