The things I appreciate sometimes. For the last 10 years or so that I have been traversing and living in different areas I haven't had the luxury of a clothesline. In some places it was even frowned upon, which I thought quite shocking. I am so happy to have this little clothesline that just fits the things I wash. There is nothing like the smell of clothes fresh from the line. Just nothing.
And so we have 2 days to do all these lovely routine things before we head out again for Bridgetown for a show at the End of the Line Pub and then back up to the city of Halifax for a whole bunch of mostly errands that need doing. May as well have fresh clothes.
I do love summer. It's an amazing time of year. I'm so glad she didn't forget us this year and just keep on delivering cold and snow. It was an amazing big rain last night which made everything look greener than usual this morning. It's a grey start to the day and with everything all dampened down it seems like the birds are quieter than usual too. Like no one wants to say too much lest they get soaked by a big splash of water again. Just stay still, just in case.
Monday huh. I wonder what the week will bring. I wish for you happy things. I wish for me happy things too. There is enough pain going around we may as well hope for some happy. I really like when I focus on the good and just try not to get bogged down with things I can't do much about. Happy day.
