I think we are in it.
What fun we had at the Floral Conservatory. You cannot believe the amazing tropical heated paradise that exists within the frozen tundra of Regina. This amazing place exists off 4th avenue, and I have to tell you, it feels like stepping into a tropical rainforest. Wow. The plants, they live. The whole place had these tucked away tables within hanging tropical plants and trees. Amazingly I bet it seated maybe 75 people? Roses on every table, and dainty grandmother teacups.
What a treat! We played to four different sittings for Valentine's tea. We chose 6 different types of love songs for the occasion, from the strange, to the sweet, to the creepily violent sorts of songs. Something for everyone, you know.
We had such fun! I so much love to meet people like the folks we met at the Valentine Tea. Yay.
It was a bit of a shock to step back outside, because the tropical beauty did not extend past the secret magical building we were in, sadly. It was lovely though. We've got some lovely new memories and a new place to visit!
In other boring news, it must be near time to do some laundry, which means going out to everyone's favourite laundromat, Sea Spray Laundry. Stupid laundry. That's ok, I am sure it can be done. That and other household things that need doing.
And then another rehearsal for our Bushwakker gig on Wednesday. We've prepared another list of strange love songs for a special 'Strange Valentines Day' experience for folks on Wednesday night. It's going to be wonderfully strange and beautiful :)
Happy week you guys,
