Have you been to one yet? If you haven't, you are in for an amazing treat if you do. I'm not sure why it feels so different than other types of performances and venues, but it really does. For one thing, you are usually with a lot of the people you know, everyone is there sort of paying attention and not distracted by all the things that happen in other situations, and you kind of get an uber musical experience. It ends up being really special and rewarding.
I love the idea of connecting with an artist, getting their songs and stories first hand, and feeling that vibe that they are giving off. My favourite concerts have had that.
I'm really excited that we are going to start down this path and do some house concerts. I've done a bit of research, I've thought and looked into things, and now am in the process of developing a step by step guide for hosts to help them through the process. Our first few hosts will have the opportunity to have their homes featured, because I think some pictures will be good to include in the brochure. Maybe even some video.
I think our music is actually well suited to this type of performance when I think about it. It's going to be fun to see how these first few go. Gracious. And if you are thinking that you might like us to do one with us in your home, please shoot me a message and we can figure something out. What fun right?
Oh my. What fun indeed. It's mid week and the day is starting warmer than I can dare imagine. This morning found us at -1. It's meant to go above today....it's really feeling almost compatible with life. I get so excited when the season starts to turn. And I think it is finally starting to turn.
I hope you are feeling hopeful today, I think there are things to be hopeful about.
Happy hump day friends
