We went to see Irish Mythen at the Artesian last night and so enjoyed her stories and songs. She's a mighty powerful woman in a small package and she has something really special to share with folks. Sadly, it was a bit of a teeny crowd. It's hard when that happens, but she handled it well, and played a great set for us.
And a night of live music usually means hanging with or meeting people in some form or other. We went with friends and met other friends and also got to speak with Irish after the show. It's kind of a whole thing. The social aspect, the music, the connection with stories and songs, and the sharing after the show. It's a really great thing that happens in a live music event. It's worth getting out. It's a new memory and connection with others that wasn't there before and is something.
Today will be a day of practice for us and honing our show for Saturday. It's a lovely Thursday where we can go slow, drink extra coffee, and just do the things we like to do. We're not expected anywhere, but we will likely have to eat at some point which means we likely be going out sometime. I like days like this just as much as I like the days we spend with other people doing fun things. Balance right?
Oh and we saw the super worm moon last night too! It was beautiful. As we walked to the show there it was hanging in the sky like a beautiful round pendant. I have no idea why it was called a worm moon though. No one really explained that to me. Maybe it's better I don't know. Sure was pretty.
Happy day folks
