I don't know if you can see that, but it is a super rusty bicycle that someone pulled out of Wascana Creek. The spokes are completely eaten away it's so rusty. It looks like it has been part of a shipwreck. Cool eh? We sat and pondered how the bicycle came to be at it's watery grave for a while until a nearby grackle seemed to think we shouldn't be there anymore. It wasn't violent like the red winged blackbirds have been, but I'd say there must be a nest nearby and they were getting a bit uncomfortable with us hanging around.
Fine. On our way we went. It ended up being a beautiful day and then we saw a beaver later on down the creek as well! Just a good kind of outing.
Oh and today beckons as a beautiful Friday before a long weekend kind of feel. I can see a patio with beer in our future I think. Lots to do getting sorted and ready for things, but I'm kind of thinking it might be such a good day for some outside beverages when all is said and done. Possibly not a good day for bicycle riding especially if that is your bike. May as well join us on the patio at Leo's. We can commiserate and finally know the story of how the bike came to be in Wascana Creek. I can hardly wait.
