Here he is plotting the course. A modern day pirate of his own in a toy pirate ship in a giant sandbox. Off to change the world.
Today we head to Bridgetown in the Annapolis Valley to play at the End of the Line Pub. We've never played there, never even been there so the territory is brand new. It looks like they have all sorts of things going on as part of a celebration for the anniversary of the pub which looks pretty fun. I do love a new adventure. And why not with such an able swarthy sort of pirate at the helm. We'll go far.
New things. They can be pretty frightening by times. Remember the Blues brothers at that country and western pub where the stage had chicken wire around it to protect the band from airborne beer bottles hurtling at them? I'm thinking it will go a bit better than that. Ha. No, for us, The End of the Line folks seem like lovely people at least to speak with electronically :)
But new things do instill a certain anxiety by times I'd say. Every new job I've ever started, interview I've ever done, even some scary stores. I know, I have extra weirdness with certain especially trendy stores, but the point is dealing with people you don't know in a setting you are unfamiliar with can make you feel pretty wibbly. It's probably normal. The thing is to recognize those feelings as just a normal part of starting something new and not let it hold you back from trying. Because some of the best experiences in life come from trying on new things in new uncharted territory.
Like today. Let's do it world :)
