Today is our last day in NS before we head to the UK for a month. And what a lovely day it's been, at least so far. We visited the fine folks at Jost Winery and then the Blue Sea beach in Malagash. These gems that exist in Nova Scotia - I didn't know they were here but I really like them!
We just got home and then a rain shower poured down upon our little place in River John.
I come back to the ocean as much as I can. As do so many other people. It's kind of an amazing place. Ocean on the Atlantic side feels very different to the Northumberland side. And Australian beaches certainly feel different to the New Zealand shores. But they all do that thing where it's like a lullaby for your mind. Singing in that tone that your body recognizes and responds to. Our Northumberland shore is warm, the water is fairly shallow, and the waves are gentle. It's different to other places but still the same.
I love that I get to drive for just a short time and have that experience. I feel very lucky. I missed you ocean when we were apart. I love when I see you in your various shapes and expressions. You might look different but I can tell that you are the same. Even between Atlantic and Pacific, you are still connected and sing the same songs. Feels like home.
I hope your Monday is amazing. And if it isn't, tomorrow is another one.
