Well I think we all survived which is the good thing. We have a couple of quite large trees on our house, but miraculously, they haven't damaged the house too much from what we can tell. We've got to sort them out of course. And me without my power saw...ha. Yeah, I don't have anything like that and we aren't terribly handy when it comes to sorting out giant trees on our house. It's going to take a little time.
That's ok. We are feeling so lucky really since we actually had power restored as well. It all could be so much worse.
And I so love the community spirit after these things. It truly is a beautiful aspect of humanity when things like this happen with the kind pulling together and helping each other that happens.
Ach. The other thing is that I feel I may have overindulged in storm liquor and storm snacks. It seemed perfectly reasonable at the time and I'm sure it was the right thing to do, but my tummy is a bit of a storm right now as a result. Oh baby.
I do wish you luck in your post storm recovery be it a dry day, tree removal, or a bit of both. If I can be of any help in my unhandiness, I would be glad to help. Perhaps you'd like a medley of folk songs while you're power-sawing the things down. No? Well, you know who to ask if you change yer mind.
Take care out there.
