On those cool days that threaten fall weather, what better than to cosy into a day of music. I can think of little else. Tea of course, some lovely tea in order here, and yeah, maybe the heat on just a smidge, maybe some flannel on, yep, then the setting is perfect. Ready for a day of practicing old, new, sorting out songs for the weekend gig.
I will always pick warmth over cool, but those cool days are so good for feeling cosy and getting inside stuff done. Oh cosy, I love cosy. Cosy cosy cosy.
We are really excited about playing in Bear River at Tall Sips on Stilts this Saturday. I've never been to Bear River and I'm pretty sure David hasn't. It should be a fun adventure. Plus, we get to pass through the valley and get some valley veggies and apples. So excited for that too.
Yeah harvest time is pretty awesome too. All that fresh gorgeous produce. Mmmmm.
As a rule, I'm not a fan of Fall. I do not appreciate pumpkins the way some people seem to, and although the leaves get all pretty, and there is all that cosy inside time, I wouldn't actually trade any of that for full on summer. Plus there is the impending doom that hangs over every sentence in Fall. Oh yeah - there it is....winter. Happily, we are not in Saskatchewan this winter and I am thinking I have good odds of survival until Spring.
But we are far from this conversation, hush hush hush! We have gorgeous September to bask in. Hopefully some nice warm days, some lovely veggies, keep away frost warning, you can just shut up. We can think about Fall on another day far far from this one.
Hey - Happy Friday the 13th! Maybe it will be special :)
