Here we are in beautiful River John, Nova Scotia! How did we get here? Indeed how. Driving across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick to get to this point seems like only a sentence to write. I am here to tell you it is more than an inconsequential sentence. It is a bloody long way.
And oh my. There were lovely times practicing our sets by the Great Lake Superior with a beautiful breeze and the scent of wild flowers all around us. There was the time we headed out of St Hyacinth Quebec with the trunk completely open, screaming down the highway with it flapping along before we noticed it. Yikes. And there were gigs, and beautiful memories made with old and new people.
And sometimes it was just the monotony of miles. The tiredness of one position. The weariness of not being there yet.
But even despite the cranky times and tired times, we really did it. We car camped the whole way and made real food the whole way too. I’m kind of proud of us.
Now landing in our new place that will be our new place to live, inspire and record some brand new experiences and music. Lovely….
But wait…there’s this bit of an overwhelming disaster of moving in right now. Nothing like completing an epic journey only to find out there is no relaxing until you completely move into and sort out a new home. That’s ok.
Happy hump day from NS
