Is this week! Here is David tasting one of our favourites, the Rebellion Hazy IPA. Yum. Craft beers seem to be amazing in this province. There are a number of different breweries that I just love what they are doing. Rebellion, Malty National, Pile O Bones, you guys for sure. LOVE what you are brewing up.
It's an interesting idea that seems to be gaining momentum, with more and more people trying out the brewery experience and the small batch, local guys kind of vibe that goes with it. Never mind some of the great ideas for taste explosions. I have been totally blown away by some of the beer experiences I have had here, I can hardly wait to see what you guys come up with next.
When I was a kid, it seemed like people had a brand they were loyal to, and that was the way it was. So, you were either a Keith's guy, maybe a Schooner guy, the odd Ten-penny guy out there (or girl). Probably Molson's, Moosehead's and Blue. But what you drank was what you always bought. You never veered. It was like cheering for the Leaf's. You'd die with your Alexander Keith's in your hand cheering 'Go Leaf's Go'.
It's interesting how things change. I kind of like that people are willing to try different things and give the little guys a go. It's open minded of folks. It's inviting, inclusive, and a good thing to do. It's the kind of attitude that changes things that have been too long stagnant and outdated, maybe not even relevant any more - beer or ideas or whatever we are talking about. Plus it is awesome beer. Ok, it's Tuesday and I am talking about beer. I better just settle right back down.
Happy Tuesday anyway :)
