The sound of the water sounds like a cat lapping a drink. Sometimes though, the water slops against the boat and then squelches back quite loudly. Then I think it sounds like an animal noisily munching a meal. With it's mouth open, masticating and slurping. What an image. What a surprise I would get if I looked past the boat to see a squid chomping away on some unfortunate creature. Yuck. Now I don't think I'll look.
The big charity gig in support of a shower bus for homeless folks is fast approaching and we had to figure out a finale song to do with the other musician of the night, Ricky Taite. He's really great and we ended up trading ideas back and forth until we decided on one. I'm not sure I should reveal it until the night though. Wouldn't want to ruin the surprise.
I am a little worried about coming back to cold weather in Regina though. It seems really extra cold. I think I have been too much spoiled and coddled with warmth and water. I'm not sure how I'm going to go with cold and ice. We have a whole week yet to think about it. I do miss the beautiful folks that are there, but I don't miss the other stuff. Just relax.
If there was a slurping chomping animal in Regina, I expect it would have been frozen solid with the nasty cold air it would have been exposed to. I guess that takes care of that worry. I'm not sure I really was all that worried. It seems quite unlikely.
