I've written about Steve and Fred before. These guys hang out and kind of peer down at us and I've pondered what they think about from their perch up there. I've noticed when it's the two of them (not just Steve) they kind of natter to each other and remark about whatever things they find remarkable in the world.
Lately I've noticed they come and hang out when we are playing music and I've imagined they seem to be attentively listening and watching. If it's too long a pause between songs, they fly off and find something else to entertain them. Is this even possible? Steve and Fred like folk-y Americana style music you think?
Probably their interest is peaked because we are squawking like something familiar and maybe they think we are trying to talk to them. Maybe.
Or maybe we have a whole undiscovered audience community in seagulls. Oh the possibilities...
This picture of them was taken yesterday, but they are sitting out there right now as I type this in exactly the same way only the sky is grey. They even seem to look somewhat expectantly down in this direction like they are waiting for the show to start.
And now they've flown off because we've taken too long. Maybe. Or maybe they just have their own seagull things to do. And maybe I have far too much time on my hands to imagine the thoughts and motivations of seagulls.
It's a long haul the sitting in one's house without doing too much. I like it most of the time, but then I go down these little tracks.
On a positive note...our CD booklets are ready in Halifax! We just need to figure out how to get them. There's a storm a coming apparently and then there is all this social distancing to be observed. We may have to wait and see what the weather brings.
What do you guys say Steve and Fred? I see you're back from whatever errand you were on.
Happy day you guys.
