Even though we are home and sorted, I thought I would give you this picture of David at an Alberta rest stop as we made our way from BC back to Saskatchewan. Here he is thrilled to be out of the car and basking in air with mountainous beauty everywhere you look.
In this rest stop, there was a truck with an American couple who were horrified and upset with the bathroom facilities they had to endure here. I expected bad...but when we tried them they really weren't too bad by our standards anyway. Not sure if that says more about us or them, but anyway...
We both were experiencing sore backs by this time and thought we might just walk a little. This charming area had a little forest path that we could access from the back of the rest stop area. How special. It was just a beautiful walk and time until we came to bear poop and then it seemed perhaps we should get back to the car David thought.
So that was that. A little road trip memory with good from being outside and experiencing fresh air and amazing scenery, but bad from cranky bathroom people, sore backs, and abbreviated walks. It's a little snip with all the colours.
Today I am working at the guitar shop and then we play at London Belle tonight. A fun filled Friday for sure. I hope yours is too.
