Where it happens. The practice of old and new, the developing of set lists, and the writing and honing of new songs. I thought I would highlight this little spot today because it does a lot of things for little or no credit. It's a pretty little spot too I think. Arguably one of the prettiest practice spots we've ever had the good fortune to play.
Alas, this will come to an end as we move out of this apartment. Sorry apartment, but the winter is just too cold here. Must find place with adequate heating. No use having the perfect practice spot if you are fingers are too cold to form chord shapes. Onward.
So today is just about you little practice spot. I appreciate you right now because it's warm enough (in this season of non-winter) and you are just a lovely place to play and practice with the sun coming in like that in the morning, and the nice little alcove thing. Every house we've been in has had influence and shaping of stories and songs of the time and this one is no different. It's been such an interesting journey. I can hardly wait to see what our next practice spot will look and feel like.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. In the spirit of now, let's soak up what is good and what is right now. For me, that is my dear little practice spot. Thank you for your service.
Oh, and happy hump day :)
