We had another love-in Regina. Another celebration of community love stories and songs were made special by the telling and the sharing. It was a little different than last time of course... this time it was upstairs on the Mezzanine level of the library. Some different people, and some of the same people! Some new love stories. Some new memories. Beautiful.
We had had a quite busy day leading up to the event and were kind of half-heartedly getting gear and setting up as one more thing to do. It's always a beautiful surprise to have such a lovely time with lovely people. It was made even more special by someone taking time to tell us they had only just discovered us by accident (minding their business finding a book) and were pleasantly surprised to hear our music. And you know, they could have thought that and we would have never known, still had a lovely time, all that, but this person took the time to tell us that they were moved by our music and were keen to hear more.
It certainly makes it all feel worthwhile. Maybe I don't tell you all enough how thankful I am that you are out there, that you are part of this journey finding meaning in the world through such human connections. It's a crazy world. I love that there are these wonderful people out there, like secrets, waiting to impart a little kindness at unexpected times.
I say this phenomenon is like a secret because I feel like we are all bombarded by horrible tidings of unfortunate things so much of the time. The lovely folks don't get a spotlight. We maybe need to go out into the world to encounter such things. And maybe impart our own little mark. Look out for the revolution of the quiet but mighty kind.
Hey it's Friday!! TGIF you guys!
