Look at this mummy waiting for her babies to hatch. She is just so lovely just snuggled in on the rocks in her nest patiently waiting for her babies to arrive. We couldn't stay long as the Daddy was quick to tell us he wasn't overly thrilled with visitors while this was going on. That's ok. I'm happy enough to see them. They are going to be part of our walk now so we can check on them.
I love this time of year with so many changes going on. There are baby leaves, crocuses, and mummies waiting on their babies. It's always warm enough to walk around outside, the air is fresh, and the sun stays longer.
We have Australian visitors coming today for a visit for a couple of days. What to show them? What to do? We have some little fun things planned that I'm hoping they enjoy. We shall see. For today is a work day for me and we will meet them tonight. Just a little waiting.
I have a friend that always says life is constantly waiting. It's like a waiting room that never ends. We are always waiting for some event or other. I'm sure he's right. I know I have certainly felt that way waiting to move someplace, waiting to start a job, waiting for someone to arrive, even just waiting for the weekend. However, the older I get I am finding ways not to just sit and wring my hands but actually get on with enjoying the waiting times for what they are. Seems the moments disappear and then you are left trying to remember just how it all went. I'm thinking the waiting might actually be the living. Whoa....
Anyway, happy hump day you's. Happy waiting.
