Well Winnipeg, I don't even know you but I am really excited to come and hang out share some stories and songs. We met such a nice guy, Rick over the phone today and it looks we will be stopping by for a house concert event July 2rd. Summer is shaping up to be a real blast. We are so excited about going down this road of house concerts, who even knew such a great concept was there. Well, I guess some people knew... I didn't really... I am pretty thrilled to be part of it now though.
And a rainy day here in Regina for a change! I don't know, I kind of welcome the rain. Yesterday I got wind dusted nearly out of control on our walk. Lost my hat twice, got my eyes full of dust several times. Rain might just settle some of that down a mite. Maybe the place needs it.
I love the walk around Wascana though. It's so nice to have that option again. And right now it contains this huge community of seagulls that is just amazing. So many seagulls. I guess they are taking advantage of the abundance of fish trapped in the ice frozen for perfect consumption. Yuck. But wow, their voices just fill the air. Some of them sound almost human in their cries. They definitely sound like a community with lots of different personalities. It reminds me of the ocean on days like this.
Then on the way back from our walk a clown Santa carrying a rainbow cross....! Wow...the sights you see.
I think this rainy Sunday might be honing some of our set lists for various events and creating just the right mix for the different groups of people that we get to share music with. It's nice to have some different approaches to different shows I think. Well, it's always going to be us isn't it. I just like thinking of people and the day and the atmosphere to just customize what we do just a bit.
Happy Sunday you's
